Walter Green
A native of Northwest Arkansas, Walter grew up combining his love of technology with an appreciation for the outdoors. From an early age, he was immersed in financial concepts, learning about stocks, bonds, annuities, and IRAs—lessons that continued into adulthood and married life as he navigated mortgages, car loans, 401(k)s, college funding, inherited IRAs, and budgeting.
With a business degree in hand, Walter spent over 20 years working in technology and people management. His career included a 22-year tenure at the University of Arkansas, where he earned a master’s degree in Operations Management midway through his time there.
After spending decades in IT, Walter shifted his focus to financial planning, with a strong interest in early retirement.
He closed the chapter on his IT career and began a new one—early retirement.
You can follow his personal journey and insights on his YouTube channel: Rewire-Retire.
