Michelle Davis, CPA/PFS, CFP®

Michelle Davis, CPA/PFS, CFP® is a financial planner who blends technical mastery with genuine human connection. With nearly two decades of experience in tax auditing and financial analysis, she brings clients a level of clarity and confidence that only comes from truly understanding how taxes, planning, and life decisions intersect.

Michelle began her career in hospitality, where she learned to lead with empathy, listen deeply, and communicate with warmth. All qualities that continue to define her client relationships today. She later spent nearly 10 years as a Revenue Field Auditor with the NC Department of Revenue, developing an exceptional understanding of tax law, compliance, and the real-world financial challenges people face. This foundation makes her uniquely equipped to help clients make informed decisions that strengthen both their present stability and long-term goals.

Her transition into holistic financial planning was driven by a passion for empowering others to recognize their strengths in order to build a future aligned with what matters most to them.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Michelle brings clients a holistic, tax-informed planning experience that transforms strategy into meaningful progress toward their goals. Her holistic planning approach includes specialized guidance for clients pursuing Financial Independence Retire Early / Recreational Employment (FIRE) and for those wondering what to do with an inheritance.

Outside of the office, Michelle loves traveling with her husband, Chris, of over 25 years and their two teenage children. She also enjoys being a band & soccer mom, splitting family holiday hosting duties with her local in-laws, and playing card/board/online games with whichever friend or family member she can convince.

Additionally, Michelle is an active volunteer, speaker, and community leader. She contributes her expertise through her local chamber of commerce, the NC Council on Economic Education, and the NCACPA Financial Planning Networking Group. Her leadership includes previous board service for multiple organizations.

Clients choose Michelle because she brings warmth and plain English to complexity, steadiness to uncertainty, and a thoughtful, tax-smart perspective to every financial conversation.

She meets people where they are, helps them see what’s possible, and partners with them to build the future of their dreams that they feel confident stepping into.
