Michael Beatty, CFP®

I am a Las Vegas native (yes, one of the few!). I started working in the financial services industry 15 years ago while finishing my degree at UNLV. I quickly fell in love with personal finance and went on to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. My work includes Financial Planning, Investment Management, Retirement Planning, Protecting against Risk, and Student Loan Planning.

My wife, Kayla, and I have four kids, so life is full and lively outside of work. I enjoy watching competitive sports, having grown up playing all kinds of them — soccer, basketball, and baseball. I also learned Spanish (though I’m a bit rusty) during the two years I spent as a missionary in Chile almost two decades ago.

One of the most important roles I have as a CFP is to educate my clients so they can make informed financial decisions with confidence. Money is personal, and every client has their own story, goals, and challenges. My approach is to keep things clear and straightforward while making sure each plan reflects what matters most to the families I work with.

Funny story about me: Back in 8th grade, I got in trouble with the school dean for not sitting in my assigned seat during lunch. My punishment? I was sent to a typing class. What was meant to be a consequence turned into a blessing — I became a fast, efficient typist, a skill that has saved me countless hours in my professional life. Funny how a middle school “punishment” ended up being one of the most useful tools I use every day.
