Marcel Miu is the founder of Simplify Wealth Planning, a flat-fee financial planning and investment management firm based in Austin, Texas. He works with employees across tech, biotech, financial services, and consumer brands who have meaningful equity compensation (RSUs, stock options, ESPPs, deferred compensation) and want someone who understands how those pieces fit into the rest of their financial life.

Marcel has 16 years of experience in financial services, including 13 years in the investment industry at J.P. Morgan and Cohen & Steers. He holds the CFA designation, which is the gold standard credential in investment management, and is also a CFP. He started Simplify Wealth Planning because he saw too many high-earning employees making stock and tax decisions by default instead of by design.

His practice covers both financial planning and ongoing portfolio management under one flat annual fee. That means the stock optimization, multi-year tax planning, early retirement income strategy, estate planning, and rebalancing are all included. No separate charges for planning versus investment management.

Many of his clients are mid-career and focused on making the right call with every vest. Others are approaching early retirement and need a drawdown plan that lasts 40+ years, bridges the gap before Medicare, and converts what they've built into income they won't outlive.
