Kate Stalter
I’ve been in financial services for 25 years, and a financial advisor for more than a decade. My journey to the advisory world started in Hollywood, where I was a business reporter at entertainment publications like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
That led to writing about finance and the markets for Investor’s Business Daily, and later for Morningstar, Forbes, Financial Advisor Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, TheStreet.com, MarketBeat, and RetireGuide. I’ve also hosted an investing radio show and podcast.
Eventually, I earned my Series 65 and joined an RIA to make a greater impact on people’s financial lives and work with clients on a personal level.
I later founded my own RIA and enjoyed the firm’s fast growth, but over time, my personal mission evolved. I wanted more freedom to create educational content, work with clients more flexibly, and focus on the topics I care about most, like retirement income and portfolio design for women, people in the arts, and LGBTQ+ retirees.
I’m excited to join Core Planning to align my work even more closely with my values and long-term vision for educating investors and helping clients navigate the complexities of retirement planning.
Outside of work, I stay busy with a houseful of rescue cats and dogs, making YouTube videos for my channel and my partner Jamie’s fine art channel, working out at OrangeTheory, cheering for the Buffalo Bills and Notre Dame, and trying to improve my pickleball game.
