Joe Schneider
Pilot, Instructor, Investor, Advisor
Joe is living his dream. What’s yours?
More than two decades ago, Joe began two parallel journeys: an 18‑year career in aviation, flying and instructing across the globe, and a deep dive into financial independence and value investing (thanks Warren and Charlie). What he discovered transformed his relationship with money—he used to live to work; now he puts money to work for his family. Joe is driven to help others live more intentionally and worry less about money.
Joe specializes in managing the unique challenges of pilots—irregular schedules, variable income, career cycles, seniority dynamics, and strict medical requirements. He also serves mid‑career families and business owners facing similar complex challenges. In each case, he collaborates with clients to understand their specific circumstances and priorities. Together, they design and implement purpose-driven, tax-smart, resilient plans—creating space for what matters most.
He brings an investor’s mind and a teacher’s heart to planning. As an investing nerd, Joe loves keeping up with markets and studying strategies for risk management, concentrated holdings, and sustainable income. As a teacher, he enjoys breaking down complex topics into simple, step‑by‑step guidance, knowing the best plan is one clients understand and can stick with over time.
Outside of work, Joe stays busy with his wife and kids. He enjoys sharing meals with friends and being outdoors, particularly hiking, paddling, and sailing. Endlessly curious, he loves to read and explore new ideas. Joe also enjoys serving his church where he teaches a course on personal finance.
