Bruce Baird, CPA
Bruce Baird, CPA, is a financial professional transitioning into wealth management, bringing over a decade of experience in public accounting, financial services, and forensic analysis. Having passed the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) exam in November 2025, he is focused on helping individuals and families make informed, values-based financial decisions.
Most recently, Bruce served as a Senior Vice President and Project Leader in Internal Audit at Bank of New York Mellon, where he leads complex engagements across regulatory compliance, risk management, and client protection. His experience advising senior executives and regulators has provided him with a strong foundation in fiduciary responsibility, risk awareness, and the importance of disciplined financial decision-making.
He began his career as a forensic accountant with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and later worked in advisory at KPMG, supporting financial institutions in strengthening governance and compliance frameworks. These roles sharpened his analytical skills and reinforced his commitment to acting in clients’ best interests.
Bruce also comes from a strong family business background, which has shaped his perspective on long-term planning, multigenerational wealth, and the personal dynamics that influence financial decisions. This experience complements his technical expertise and informs his client-first approach to financial advising.
He holds a Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College, and completed Bryant University’s Financial Planning Capstone Program. He is passionate about financial literacy and actively volunteers teaching students in New York City, while also serving his local community in Fenwick, Connecticut as the elected Clerk.
