Andy Moran, CFP®
Founder at Ad Astra Financial Planning
Andy is a software engineer turned financial planner.
After planning their own career break in the face of burnout at a tech startup and witnessing the change it brought about in their own life, and subsequently living nomadically for over 4 years, Andy became a financial planner with the intention of helping others take career breaks of their own and live their best lives.
While they love to geek out over numbers and tech including AI-coding-assisted side-projects, they derive some of their greatest satisfaction from helping others live their best lives.
When they’re not doing taxes or financial planning, you'll find them stand-up paddleboarding, playing pickleball, voraciously reading, learning new skills, enjoying live music, watching the San Francisco 49ers, or planning the next trip.
Andy has been featured in USA Today, MSN, U.S. News & World Report, Wealthtender, Wealth of Geeks, Wealth Management, and the Sabbatical Project, and has been recognized as an authority by peers in the financial services industry on the topics of career breaks and equity compensation.
Andy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who launched Ad Astra Financial Planning in early 2023 and serves clients in the SF Bay Area and around the country.
