Andrew is an Enrolled Agent, financial professional, former U.S. Marine, and lifelong student of the ways people build meaningful lives across borders, careers, and generations.

His professional journey has taken him through military service, business ownership, information technology consulting, taxation, and financial planning. Along the way, he spent nearly a decade living abroad and traveling extensively throughout the world, experiences that shaped both his perspective and his appreciation for the opportunities and challenges faced by globally minded individuals and families.

Today, Andrew is developing the Poets & Pirates platform, an initiative focused on taxation, financial planning, education, and guidance for globally minded Americans.

He believes financial planning is most effective when it is grounded not only in numbers and regulations, but also in a clear understanding of a person's goals, values, and aspirations. His areas of interest include retirement planning, tax-efficient strategies, cross-border financial issues, and financial education.

Andrew graduated from Western Michigan University and earned the Enrolled Agent designation, the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. He is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner™ certification as part of his commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys history, travel, and exploring different cultures. A lifelong fan of his home state's sports teams, he follows Detroit's professional teams and proudly cheers for Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, and the University of Notre Dame. He currently resides in Michigan after nearly a decade abroad.
