you can always tell when something is made by people who had fun making it

  • core planning exists to serve the advisor, not the other way around.

  • Community is all about safety, trust, and generous collaboration.

  • Conformity fuels constraint.

  • We celebrate the idea that advisors run their own practice, while still enjoying a supportive team.

  • Advisors are free to express their authentic creative energy, in their own voice.

  • Great advice can come from behind a desk, or a client's dining room table, or a lakeside hammock.

  • Advice is not about oppressive quotas, it’s about deep client-advisor partnerships.

  • Beautiful design is what’s left after stripping away all but the essential.

  • A successful advisor can serve 30 families, 50, 100, or whichever number that advisor chooses.

  • We celebrate the lifestyle practice.

  • We can be distributed, asynchronous, flexible, and open architecture; all with true personal connection.

  • A career should be fun and fulfilling.

  • Life should be fun and fulfilling.

be yourself

Who do you seek to serve?

You’re an independent advisor with the industry's most powerful technology at your fingertips and a supportive community standing by your side.

Cool, now what?

Here's the thing:

Most financial firms think they're the center of the world. They think advisors need to push the firm brand: walk, talk, and dress a certain way.

But the firm isn't that important.

You are.

Your personal voice matters because that's what will attract the right people that you seek to serve. To bring about real change in the world, each of us should align and connect with the right people.

Develop your creative voice and surround yourself with people you enjoy.

No one wants to be sold to, but people do enjoy authentic connections, friendships, and networks.

how we pay ourselves

Transparency matters. We’re transparent with how our clients pay us, and we’re transparent with how we pay ourselves.

We advisors pay ourselves between 80% - 99% or more of our gross client fees collected, which is among the highest in the industry.

This is becasue we cap the amount we each contribute back to the firm.

That’s right. As your practice grows, you don’t pay more than your fair share.

The retained revenue is simply shared by the group to cover operational support, technology, registration, oversight and compliance structures.

How do we sustain a payout this high?

Our co-op style design means clients pay us for advice, not for skyscrapers with a dozen layers of management.

We don't do lavish producer retreats, steak dinners, or send clients to ball games.

We strip away as much overhead as possible. When you remove the unnecessary, you allow the necessary things room to breathe and thrive.

Some firms offer a salary, why don't we?

Because of the above.

Each of us builds, serves, and owns our individual practices as self-employed independent advisors.

We all pay ourselves on a 1099 basis and own 100% of the equity in our practices.

Upfront salaries are often referred to as golden handcuffs. Firms that pay these types of phase-out salaries attach oppressive non-compete agreements which can make it extremely difficult for that employee to ever leave.

We don't believe in non-competes.

It’s silly to think a corporation can somehow claim ownership over a human relationship, yet they sure do try.

This is your business and we’re here to support you.

our shared mission

Together, we're designing the best possible environment for our clients - and ourselves as advisors.

Lifestyle, freedom, and flexibility matter. But with that level of autonomy, we should be absolutely transparent with the realities around this type of firm architecture.

We’re builders.

This is not easy.

Really, it’s not the easy path.

Lasting impact doesn’t happen overnight. Building and serving a base of happy and loyal clients can take a couple years or more of personal branding before you get where you want to be.

When that happens, you will have built something to be proud of.

We're not glamorous.

The slick stockbroker archetype is not what we're about.

We're not about 'Top Producer' retreats, lavish parties, or stadium suites.

We're about human connection, active listening, empathy, and planning toward goals. It isn't glamorous, but it's meaningful. We seek work that is meaningful.

Working from anywhere requires incredible self-discipline.

No one is going to look over your shoulder.

You are not on the clock. You are free to travel the world and follow your passions and this requires a special kind of self-regulation and drive.

Flexibility and autonomy are beautiful things, but discipline and personal routine will be paramount.

It’s not for everyone.

If you are the type that requires constant oversight and feedback, this will be a difficult transition. On the other hand, we are always here for you, one call, email, or ping away.

The magic formula: consistency, integrity, hard work, patience

That’s the only formula which has proven itself effective over and over again.

The best things take time.

We'll do this together.

get started.

This industry is ready for a refresh, and we believe the best talent can and should come from anywhere. Integrity, energy, curiosity, and core values matter most.
